    I used my hydroflask for water today instead of drinking 2 water bottles to help reduce less single use disposals.

    When I go to work I usually drive myself. However I could have one of my parents bring me instead so we are not using all the vehicles we own. I go to the grocery store often but so does my mom so therefore we should start going at the same time during the week so we can reduce the toxins that the cars release into the environment.

    What I have noticed on my daily walks is that the climate is changing drastically. We are still in the winter season but the past few days have been 70 degrees out. What I have enjoyed is walking in the nice warm weather but it does also mean that climate change is negatively effecting the environment.

    I chose this challenge because I want to help out the environment to reduce the toxic chemicals and fumes the plastic straws give off into the environment. So instead I will begin to buy the compostable straws.

    What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?

    The most single - use time I use on a regular basis are straws. Instead I could buy the compostable straws and use those for my drinks instead.

    3/11: I only ate 2 portions of fruits/ vegetables today. I need to work on eating these more because it creates a healthier lifestyle for me but also reduces the consumption of animal products. The more people in the world who eat more fruits and vegetables will help it lead to a positive environment impact.

    3/11: I ate all my meals today with a smaller portion. I did not waste any food because I was able to put the right amount of food on my plate. Smaller portions allows for food to not be wasted and it also allows aid in a more efficient metabolism.

    3/11: I ate breakfast lunch and dinner today eating mindfully. This allowed me to focus on what I was eating. It kept me full with taking in less food.

    Eating more fruits and vegetables positively affects me because they are a good source of vitamins and minerals and will improve my health benefits. They affect the planet because fruits and vegetables are considered non-toxic to the environment and they also produce little to no pesticides.
