Lana Anderson 8/13/2020 2:50 AMAs an events professional, I always find it shocking how much wasted food is taken away by waiters. Since joining the drawdown ecochallenge, I've tried to live in a more eco-aware and sustainable world, reducing food-waste going to landfill and serving smaller meals. This article really made me think about the choices I/we need to make when the events industry gets back to a 'new normal'.

Lana Anderson 8/10/2020 5:12 AMComposting is so easy - I got a small tub with a lid from Ikea for about £3, some compostable bags from the local supermarket and simply put the bag in with my garden waste when our waste is collected. Next step: buy my own composter so that we can feed our garden :-)-
Lana Anderson 8/21/2020 7:09 AMMy new composter arrived yesterday! My husband thinks I'm a bit barmy - it looks like a huge dalek! A bit too big for our modest garden. Perhaps I'll start composting for the neighbours too :-) -

Cindy Godwin 8/20/2020 10:55 PMLana, thank you for the practical tip. We are going to petition our local council to start curbside garden waste collection. To encourage more people to compost and save all the cars from driving to the borough tip every week.
