Nicola Attolico 9/28/2021 1:14 AMAll good, every day I look at my dashboard and find time to follow up and get inspired. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Building ResilienceHow is planting trees good for your mental, physical, and spiritual health?
Nicola Attolico 9/27/2021 7:10 AMSince I'm a super-fan of jujubes, I planted a very small jujube tree in my hanging garden.
Wishing the young jujube tree best of luck, hope it'll grow robust and beautiful :) -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportationHow do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience or enjoyment differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?
Nicola Attolico 9/25/2021 2:53 AMUsing public transportation does't really make me feel more engaged with my community - I use it as it is more sustainable for me and for the environment, that's all.
The reasons are multiple but it all goes back to us being a very fragmented, individualistic community - one more socio-cultural issue that needs decades of deep work in education to be fixed. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONIndustryWhat else can you do to hold your organization accountable to implement sustainable practices?
Nicola Attolico 9/25/2021 2:48 AMI can approach with my colleagues regarding implementing sustainable practices - the fact our company is strongly pushing on this topic doesn't mean that the push arrives everywhere in the company and/or that it keeps its power impact when it gets to the single employee. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and EducationWhat are some of the barriers that exist to women's equal participation and/or representation in your community?
Nicola Attolico 9/25/2021 2:40 AMThe main barrier is inside ourselves, it's our secular culture going deep and a long time back.
This world sometimes appears to have been modelled according to men 's measures as it is "unequal by design".
We can only fight that by looking into ourselves but also (and especially) by leveraging the education system to create "Allies by Design" (i.e. by Culture). -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing & RenewalHave you ever had a significant experience in nature that altered your perspective or focus? If so, please describe it.
Nicola Attolico 9/21/2021 10:05 AMMountains are where I experience the greatness of Nature - every time I go there, no matter how much time I spend there, I feel overwhelmed and grateful for such greatness and infinite beauty.
I feel Mountains are the place that asks all of us to respect the world we live in and renew our alliance with Nature every day.

REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Building ResilienceWhat are the most pressing issues for women, girls, and trans/nonbinary people in your community?
Nicola Attolico 9/19/2021 7:19 AMI wouldn’t know where to start from when listing the most pressing issues for people here.
The non-profit I’m getting in touch takes care of children and young mothers in difficulties so I have a clear point to start from to effectively contribute. -
Nicola Attolico 9/19/2021 5:11 AMMy Ecochallenge is going super well: I find it very compelling, the website offer a superb user experience, the internal blog makes me feel more vocal about my challenges and achievements! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing & RenewalHow does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?
Nicola Attolico 9/19/2021 1:52 AMMy wife and I are following our daughter's diet, so eating the same things she eats make us feel more united and helps her being more committed.
We start with fresh vegetables and always add stewed vegetables after the main course. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportationWhat have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?
Nicola Attolico 9/19/2021 1:50 AMMy neighbourhood would definitely benefit larger and cleaner space for pedestrians and bicycles.
