REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Support Organic Growing MethodsIt is often said that “you can’t feed the world with just organic food.” What is your response to that statement?
Kamari Boyd 4/25/2022 7:32 AMI feel like the biggest threat to a sustainable future is the idea that one’s lifestyle has to be entirely sustainable, or not at. That is a false dichotomy. The reason for this is because it is nearly impossible for someone to navigate contemporary society without leaving some sort of negative trace. It is because of this that we must place our focus on better sustainable practices, as opposed to absolute. Perhaps it is true that “you can’t feed the world with just organic food,” but the positive impact(s) of some people making an effort to actively engage and educate themselves on their food consumption, is far greater than the positive impact(s) of nobody trying. That is to say, any step in the right direction is better than no steps at all.
