REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Use Support Indigenous Peoples' Land ManagementIndigenous speaker and activist Winona LaDuke says that, "most indigenous ceremonies, if you look to their essence, are about the restoration of balance — they are a reaffirmation of our relationship to creation. That is our intent: to restore, and then to retain balance and honor our part in creation." Why is balance important to sustainability?
Chris Chambers 1/23/2020 8:38 PMWe have an incredible amount to learn from indigenous peoples. We need to ask them for help. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Generation Learn More about Wave and Tidal EnergyWhat did you learn about wave and tidal energy? How do they compare to other energy sources?
Chris Chambers 1/23/2020 8:26 PMThere are various ways to capture wave and tidal energy, and there are upsides and downsides, they don't apply everywhere, and can have ecosystem impacts like dams do for hydro energy. But, they are carbon free and that may outweigh other impacts.
