How can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place -- your deep knowledge of and appreciation for your surroundings?

I know that for myself personally, when I get done surfing or get home from a Bike ride, I feel like a new person. Especially surfing, something about it feels cleansing & its become a spiritual part of my life. As humans, sometimes it seems like we are wired to have more more more, but all we really need is right here on this planet. I feel as if my hobbies outdoors always reassure me of that.

When I ride my bike commuting, I feel significantly better once I make it to my destination in comparison to driving my car. A little exercise before you go to class or work can actually improve your focas & more importantly it benefits our planet as well.

More recently I made a little makeshift compost at my apartment, my parents have one at home but It was time to make my own & do my part. You really don't need to go out & spend money to do this! But Its awesome to see how  that "waste" regenerates into something positive for the planet.

Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?

Probably because of how accessible due to factory farming & other unsustainable practices. Though Im pescatarian, Its evident that way too many people eat too much meat, especially here in America. Its flat out not healthy for your heart when your consuming that much meat & on top of that, its having a detrimental impact on our planet because of the resources it takes to raise these animals. Then there is the whole other ethics side of things that people should be willing to consider.
