    My vision for a substainable community includes public transit, walkable and bikeable communities, community and yard gardens where food is grown. For electricity production, my vision has a blend of solar, microwind turbines, and micro wind digesters.

    Much of Indonesia's peatlands have been drained so they could be replaced with palm oil or pulp and paper plantations. How can you make choices that help to protect peatlands, even if you live far away from one?

    I will continue to reduce the amount of packaged junk food i eat. I will select paper that has a post consumer content.

    What are some of the barriers that exist to women's equal participation and/or representation in your community?

    Some of the barriers that exist to women's equal participation and representations in my community is that Asheville has a service based economy. Low skilled and low waged labor is found in restaurants, hotel industries, and the hospital.
