    Materials Recycle Everything I Can
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?

I love recycling and this month am focusing on 100% use of reusable bags when grocery shopping. Tanner and I now collect cans/bottles in local neighborhoods and recycle 2x month as a fundraiser for him.
I have stopped purchasing my spinach/greens in plastic tubs and am reusing my plastic bags for veggies when shopping.
I like Amy's idea of bringing re-usable yogurt containers, etc to the Methodist church for take home food containers.
I have spent over 10 hrs so far this month taking items from my in-laws home to good will and re-purposing items to other people.
I prioritize shopping for myself at Dejavu and Tanner at EarthFriendly Kids to reuse instead of buying new.
Jared and I have both sent old jackets back this month to Patagonia to get repaired so we can continue to use them.

Electricity Generation Learn More about Wave and Tidal Energy
What did you learn about wave and tidal energy? How do they compare to other energy sources?

This is interesting but I'm not sold. There is not much information about impact on marine life. It sounds like the impact of providing up to 25% of US energy could be huge but the investment seems too great to really see this happening by 2050. It seems too complex and I learned that I am more interested in supporting other alternative energy venues.

How is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?

I have actually cut my coffee and chocolate consumption in January by 90%. I do read coffee and chocolate labels for shade grown products. I will be more diligent about reading labels for coffee, chocolate and other foods and continue to work to decrease meat/animal products.
