REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and EducationWhat did you learn about the need for family planning? How do the needs of different people in different places compare to each other?
Cindy Cruz 4/04/2021 7:05 PMThe need for family planning is very important and essential, especiallly for women. I learned that family planning can enable women to be healthier and have equal opportunities. They can pursue other things such as an education and not focus on only being a mother. It gives them a choice. The need for family planning is different for people in different places in the world. For example it's very needed in India, it could help reduce the birth rate and help their economic development. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing & RenewalMindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How does your eating experience differ when practicing mindfulness?
Cindy Cruz 2/21/2021 1:56 PMWhen practicing mindfulness in eating, I've realized that I choose healthier options. I'm more prone to make myself a meal, then go buy junk food. I allow myself to not be distracted by my phone and just experience making the meal, which in turn makes the food taste better to me. I also have realized that I eat slower and take my time, since I'm not distracted by looking at my phone/tv. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing & RenewalWhat have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?
Cindy Cruz 2/21/2021 1:48 PMSince I do my daily walks early in the morning I've noticed how quiet it is, you can hear all the birds chirping, it's quite peacful. It's also nice to see the sun rising. On these walks I've enjoyed my alone time, soaking up the sun. I live around a lot of schools and parks, so I'm very lucky to have many diffrent paths/walks I can make. With that being said there aren't any infrastructure changes I would make.
