    How does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?

    Eating more fruits and vegetables improves your health and increases energy, especially when added to existing meals. Fruits and vegetable crops have less of a carbon footprint than meat products. The act of buying less meat reduces the demand for the product, which reduces the supply. Eating less meat may feel obsolete, especially in the agriculture business, but the less you buy, the less is made.

    While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?

    Overeating tends to make me feel worse. Being able to save food for leftovers reduces the energy needed to cook another meal. Reducing the amount of food wasted saves money, energy, and reduces the stress of cooking.
