Elana Feldman 4/21/2020 7:26 AMI just learned that soup/juice/almond milk cartons are only recyclable in select towns in Western Mass. I've been throwing these in the bin for years! I always assumed they were recyclable, but I am not sure exactly why. Now I know better and will stop contaminating the stream -

Elana Feldman 4/07/2020 8:43 AMI am thankful right now for the large sidewalks in the city where I live. I have been to many cities where it is barely possible to fit two people side by side. Wide sidewalks encourage people to take more walks, and seem particularly important during this health crisis. -
Elana Feldman 4/01/2020 7:22 AMChallenge is going great! I am starting with small changes, especially the challenges that require research and learning. I intend to work up to bigger challenges each day, and hopefully after stay-at-home is done I can go outside and make even bigger changes!-
Rishya Narayanan 4/01/2020 8:08 AMLove your plan, keep us posted on how it goes!

REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Use Forest-Friendly Foods 1How is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?
Elana Feldman 3/31/2020 7:18 AMI try not to eat many processed foods, but sometimes I become complacent and frustrated by restricting my diet. Challenges like these that force me to re-learn all the reasons why diet choices matter are important for keeping me on track. It is important to remember to read articles periodically that remind us how we got to this field in the first place.
