Eric Fondriest 11/09/2022 12:06 PMSince today is the last day I will add a small reflection. After learning more about sustainable seafood I have started purchasing local sustainable seafood and want to take up fishing. After eating without my phone or computer I end up being more productive, doing homework or getting small things done as I eat. By biking more often I feel like I can bike anywhere locally and usually plan my day around biking instead of driving. By walking I spend a lot more time outside and having a clear mind. And I feel less tired throughout my day when I eat more fruits. I will continue to bike, walk and eat some fruit daily and I know a lot more about sustainable fishing methods now and where to look for sustainably caught fish. Hopefully I ca eventually catch my own food. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Explore Other Transportation SolutionsWhat did you find out? What is the most interesting fact you learned?
Eric Fondriest 11/09/2022 9:20 AMIn other countries transit is super useful and cheap. It's easy to take the subway in lots of other countries for cheaper and much more efficient travel. Public transportation also goes hand in hand with walking because you don't always have your car to take you anywhere. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCoastal, Ocean, and Engineered Sinks Smart Seafood ChoicesMany states and countries have advisories on eating fish. Find out what is advised for your region. Do you think your diet choices fall within these guidelines? What steps do you need to take to make sure that they do?
Eric Fondriest 11/09/2022 9:19 AMI used to be vegan, but learning about how sustainable certain practices can be I have changed that. I support small local farmers and especially fishermen. I only purchase fish if I know where it comes from, there are great local restaurants. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Go for a Daily WalkWhat have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?
Eric Fondriest 11/09/2022 9:17 AMWhen I go for a walk I try to discover new trails. Going for walks helps me find new biking trails and other cool hidden spots I wouldn't find otherwise. I prefer walking outside in the cold -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Go by BikeHow does using human-powered transportation make you feel compared to using other methods of transportation?
Eric Fondriest 11/08/2022 1:51 PMI feel like biking around locally gives you more patience on the road. Of course it's also healthier and active so I feel more energized before I come into class. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use More Fruits And VeggiesHow does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?

REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing & Renewal Eat MindfullyMindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How does your eating experience differ when practicing mindfulness?
Eric Fondriest 11/08/2022 1:47 PMI can enjoy the food more as well as spend time thinking about other things if I'm alone. If I'm with people then we spend more time talking.
