Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?

People in richer countries eat more meat for several reasons. It's a symbol of wealth. Refrigeration is more available in richer countries, thus it is easier to store meat at home.  And richer countries have made an industry of raising livestock - there is a market culture that feeds itself. Eating more meat gives our bodies more fats, it uses precious land resources and creates pollution, and hogs those land resources away from others who need them more.

It's pretty easy to do zero-waste and meatless meals - I just need to remember to post them!
