What are other easy and low-cost ways to reduce your water usage at home?

    Graciela Garcia 6/15/2021 9:01 AM
There's so many ways you can reduce water at home. Reduce waters water use from showers and faucets. Reduce waters use from toilet. Minimize appliance water consumptions. Turn off the faucet while brushing your teeth. Only run the washing machine and dishwasher when you have a full load.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Buildings Install a Low-Flow Showerhead
What would a sustainable water future in your region look like? What needs to change?

    Graciela Garcia 's avatar
    Graciela Garcia 6/11/2021 6:39 AM
The conventional freshwater sources now available in the region are barely sufficient to maintain the study area's current quality of life and economy. Water shortages have already been faced in the study area as a result of droughts, and they have been overcome by managing demand.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Buildings Tour a Green Roof
What did you learn on your green roof tour?

    Graciela Garcia 's avatar
    Graciela Garcia 6/11/2021 6:32 AM
Green roof tour provides shade, remove heat from the air, and reduce temperatures of the roof surface and surrounding air. Using green roofs in cities or other built environments with limited vegetation can moderate the heat island effect, particularly during the day.

How does city planning and design relate to equity and climate change?

    Graciela Garcia 's avatar
    Graciela Garcia 6/11/2021 6:29 AM
From design perspective, cities are in unique position when it comes to climate change. Among the largest sources of emission globally, they are also highly vulnerable to its consequences. 70% of cities worldwide are dealing with the effects of climate change. But they are also potentially powerful agents of change.

What are your next steps for saving energy?

    Graciela Garcia 's avatar
    Graciela Garcia 6/10/2021 6:45 AM
    • One way I can save energy is turn off unnecessary lights.
    • Second way is to use natural light.
    • Third way is by turning off water when shaving, washing hands, and also by brushing your teeth.
    • Fourth way is too unplug unused electronics.
    • And a last way you can save energy is too wash your clothes with cold water.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

    Graciela Garcia 's avatar
    Graciela Garcia 6/09/2021 7:07 PM
I could make a group and explain what research I made and explaining things that they don't understand. And also I can make a presentation and make a PowerPoint and explain it to them.

Well one thing that I can avoid more air I can go only to trips when I'm visiting my family or friends. I still can go to trips but not all the time.
