"I care about animals a lot and therefore care about the environment they live in. I think it’s our job to keep this planet supportive of the wildlife we have and I try to do my part in that. I want to learn more about the latest technologies and how they can help us, and also how we can get involved in the politics behind the eco-crisis. "

By spending time outdoors in a mindful way, and dedicating at least 30 minutes to being present in nature, I remember how important the natural world is. Being in a city like LA, this can be easy to forget, and suddenly all the little things we do to help the earth (and ourselves) don’t seem as important because it doesn’t feel like they’re making an immediate impact on our direct surroundings. Sometimes all it takes is stepping outside and interacting with nature to remind me just how important all of this work is.

Hi Nicola, I would definitely agree that outdoor time is a valuable asset. I love staying near the forests and the ocean. Recently I have been on multiple trails, and I love it! It is the feeling to immerse yourself entirely in nature. This also helps the earth better. I think it has to do with provoking awareness in individuals and the community about how important preserving our grand nature is.

I totally agree! I think often times I tend to think that Westwood isn't too compatible with someone going on walks or in nature but I've found little pockets of places like the botanical gardens here at UCLA to be a nice way to make sure I breath in some fresh air throughout the day.
