What are the multiple benefits of community gardens, including carbon sequestration? Why do these benefits matter to you?

There are several benefits to community gardens, some include beautify once abandoned or deteriorating areas and/or buildings, improving the quality of produce consumed by their neighbors and improving the health of people. Gardens also can improve sustainability by acting as an air filter absorbing and reprocessing carbon which in turn reduces global warming.

The community garden is important to me because of the air quality improvement. I am an outdoor person so having clean breathable air is extremely important.

What do you want to prioritize over material 'stuff' in your own life?

The thing I want to prioritize over material stuff in my life is spending time with my family. Having the opportunity to work from home the last 8 months have been a blessing, providing me opportunities to be with my family and create wonderful memories. My goal is to do that more often and not spend some much time working and concentrating on things that do not matter.

Globally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. What have you done in the past to support women-owned businesses? How can you better support communities by supporting women?

When I usually shop, I typically look for minority owned businesses first before entertaining the big shops. This week I put an extra focus on women owned business. For lunch this week I ordered from three different local restaurants that are owned and managed by in my town of Encino Ca.
