There are several attributes of an offset you should consider before purchasing them. The first is if it is permanent. Another important attribute is the absence of leakage. One last important attribute is verification.

Yes, there are several different choices I can make to reduce carbon footprint at home. One is not using lights as much. Instead use natural sunlight coming through the windows as the source of light. Also turn the lights off when you will no longer be in that room. Another option would be to buy solar panels or any other source of renewable energy. One more thing would be to not use single use plastic utensils and straws anymore. All of this would help reduce carbon footprint in my home, and help the environment.

What does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?

My vision of a sustainable community has electric cars. This will save gas, which especially has been an issue as of late with the conflict going on in Russia and Ukraine. It will also make for a more healthy environment. For this to happen we would need more car dealers in our town that sells electric vehicles.

Globally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. What have you done in the past to support women-owned businesses? How can you better support communities by supporting women?

There are a few women owned businesses near where I live. One place in particular I go to is an ice cream shop called Spoons. I have bought from them and have left change in the tip jar. There is another women owned business in the same plaza as Spoons, called Sweet Bakes Cafe. My family and I ordered a cake from there for my sister's birthday recently. Supporting women owned businesses can also help the community. This is because women have great ideas and can make a better community for everyone.
