    "Best by" and "Use by" are recommendations for freshness
    "Sell by" is an arbitrary date set by store or producers
    Each state comes up with its own expiration date rules and I should become familiar with ours.

    Heard about this app when we visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium in CA. Now we have it as a source to eat more responsibly.

    While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?
