What does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?

    Winslow Larrabee's avatar
    Winslow Larrabee 5/26/2020 6:22 PM
A sustainable community would look like many joint gardens and replacing some of the less farmable lands with more fertile soil. It would look like energy-efficient houses with solar panels and greywater systems.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

What concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.

    Winslow Larrabee's avatar
    Winslow Larrabee 5/15/2020 6:30 AM
What concerns me about how we are affecting the planet is that globally we still take advantage and don't educate ourselves enough on environmental issues. Locally in Asheville I feel like most people are aware of issues in our environment and what to do to help.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Land Use Learn about Temperate Forests
As you learn more about the scope and seriousness of the environmental challenges we face, what impact does that have on your thinking and actions? What are the parts that feel overwhelming? What parts help you feel hopeful?

    Winslow Larrabee's avatar
    Winslow Larrabee 5/14/2020 7:13 AM
It makes me sad for two reasons one is that the scale of damage is crazy and also how little I feel like I can do
The parts where I just feel hopeless
When you see changes in the government rules of regulations.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Materials Properly Dispose of Refrigerants
How do you address your own feelings of concern, fear or despair about climate change?
