  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Mindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How does your eating experience differ when practicing mindfulness?

    Ariana Martinez's avatar
    Ariana Martinez 4/27/2023 4:26 PM
Its very different to eat with no distractions because youre able to pay attention to your food. I feel that sometimes im more excited to watching something as I Eat, then to enjoy the actual nutrients.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Coastal, Ocean, and Engineered Sinks Smart Seafood Choices
Many states and countries have advisories on eating fish. Find out what is advised for your region. Do you think your diet choices fall within these guidelines? What steps do you need to take to make sure that they do?

    Ariana Martinez's avatar
    Ariana Martinez 4/25/2023 4:37 PM
I think my diet choices do fall into these guidelines, especially with seafood because
I do not eat that much sea food. Here is a screenshot of some sea food you should not eat

    Ariana Martinez's avatar
    Ariana Martinez 4/18/2023 4:53 PM
I think its really easy to not be appreciative of stuff when you cant see them. So I think being able to see what gives you life makes it easier. Heres a photo of a little beach path I found while exploring

I chose these actions because they are goals I've been having for a while but had little motivation to start.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Reduce Animal Products
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?

    Ariana Martinez's avatar
    Ariana Martinez 4/13/2023 4:30 PM
People in richer countries have easier access to meat so they eat it more. Meat sometimes is not made in a safe facility, it usually uses a lot of additives to make it look appetizing. An example is glue, extra oil for shine, and other beauty details. Animal agriculture needs a lot of land, water, air, and plants.
