REFLECTION QUESTIONIndustry Find a Local Climate-Friendly SupermarketHow close is the nearest climate-friendly supermarket to your home? How could you encourage local supermarket to reduce or phase out their use of HFC refrigerants?
Ariana Martinez 4/30/2023 6:42 PMThe closest one to me was around 5 minuets but this one that im posting about was around 7 mins away. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Sinks Buy BambooAre bamboo alternatives readily available in your community? If not, what are other sustainable alternatives?
Ariana Martinez 4/30/2023 6:39 PMother alternatives are metal, biodegradable products, and even waste free products. Here is a picture of my metal tongue cleaner and bamboo toothbrush. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing & Renewal Eat MindfullyMindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How does your eating experience differ when practicing mindfulness?
Ariana Martinez 4/27/2023 4:26 PMIts very different to eat with no distractions because youre able to pay attention to your food. I feel that sometimes im more excited to watching something as I Eat, then to enjoy the actual nutrients. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCoastal, Ocean, and Engineered Sinks Smart Seafood ChoicesMany states and countries have advisories on eating fish. Find out what is advised for your region. Do you think your diet choices fall within these guidelines? What steps do you need to take to make sure that they do?
Ariana Martinez 4/25/2023 4:37 PMI think my diet choices do fall into these guidelines, especially with seafood because I do not eat that much sea food. Here is a screenshot of some sea food you should not eat -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Sinks Explore My AreaHow can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place -- your deep knowledge of and appreciation for your surroundings?
Ariana Martinez 4/18/2023 4:53 PMI think its really easy to not be appreciative of stuff when you cant see them. So I think being able to see what gives you life makes it easier. Heres a photo of a little beach path I found while exploring -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and Education Host a Film ScreeningThank you for raising awareness of women's and gender equality issues. What is the next step to actually address this disparity?
Ariana Martinez 4/18/2023 4:30 PMAfter watching the film " Knock down the house " My friends and I plan to look at political resources near us. Here is a photo of us during our movie night, I forgot to take a photo but I did take my cereal :) -
REFLECTION QUESTIONIndustry Go PaperlessWhat do you want to prioritize over material 'stuff' in your own life?
Ariana Martinez 4/18/2023 4:26 PMI want to prioritize my health and I will do this by going out on more walks and being willing to pay a little extra for a more organic option. Below is a screenshot of me opting out of emails that I dont need. This one was for chegg. -
Ariana Martinez 4/13/2023 4:31 PMI chose these actions because they are goals I've been having for a while but had little motivation to start. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Reduce Animal ProductsWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?
Ariana Martinez 4/13/2023 4:30 PMPeople in richer countries have easier access to meat so they eat it more. Meat sometimes is not made in a safe facility, it usually uses a lot of additives to make it look appetizing. An example is glue, extra oil for shine, and other beauty details. Animal agriculture needs a lot of land, water, air, and plants. -
Ariana Martinez 4/13/2023 4:26 PMI added the times to another bus stop because I heard people at my job complaining.
