REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildingsHow can your region/household prepare for changing water situations in order to become more resilient?
jason mcbryde 11/04/2021 9:06 AMI recently upgraded the two toilets in my home to high efficiency models. They will use 1 gallon less water per flush. It doesn't sound like a lot but with 4 people in the house every gallon saved will add up quickly. The savings I'm going to realize from the toilet upgrade started me thinking of other water saving ideas I can use in my home. I learned from a neighbor that I can use the water collected in the basement dehumidifier to water my house plants. He also told me about a high efficiency washer that he recently purchased. This new washer uses HALF the water my early 2000's washer uses. I think by reducing the amount of water my family uses will have a positive impact on the surrounding environment.
