How does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?

Knowing the difference between se by, sell by, and best by dates will help to reduce food waste. It will also help when grocery shopping so you can plan meals and when you should cook them by.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Health and Education Learn about the Need for Family Planning
What did you learn about the need for family planning? How do the needs of different people in different places compare to each other?

The need for family planning is important everywhere, but especially in places in poverty. The reason for this is because if a family is barely able to feed themselves then adding another kid will make everything worse and they would get even less food.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Support Local Food Systems
Dependable fresh food, supporting local farmers and building resilient communities are just a few benefits of local food systems. Which of these (or other) advantages inspire you the most?

I normally get some of my food from local sources but not much. I feel like it is important to support small farms, especially right now and buying fresh fruits and vegetables is a good way to do that.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Smaller Portions
While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?

Eating smaller portions is better for our environment as well as our health. Getting smaller portions helps with overeating because we don't have to eat as much if we don't want to.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Healing & Renewal Go for a Daily Walk
What have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?

I have enjoyed being outside and active for a few minutes each day. Normally in the winter I don't go outside or spend much time in nature.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

When I am eating without distractions I feel that I am more aware of what I am eating and so I end up eating better, healthier foods.
