    Buildings Plan to Insulate
What are some of the benefits of making your home more energy efficient?

Making your home more energy efficient can save money and can be better for living conditions. Insulation is a good example. The house I live in, my family just moved into about a year and a half ago and the insulation needed to be redone in certain parts of the house. Half of the house was added on and extended after the previous owner moved in and due to these changes there was poor circulation in certain areas. Fixing the insulation can help a lot because it requires less use of electricity if it is not poorly insulated around the house!

Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Learn the Truth About Expiration Dates
How does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?

It can help you from wasting more food. It is very easy to buy food and then not use it as soon as you should because of the sell by date instead of the best by date. These 3 dates can cause a lot of confusion which can lead to a lot of wasted foods. Learning the different between the three can also help with eating smaller portions to remain healthier!

    Transportation Use Muscle Power
How do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience or enjoyment differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?

Transportation can affect my engagement in my community in multiple ways. If you walk or ride a bike you get more fresh air and connect with nature in a more personal aspect. Riding the bus can help reducing the amount of gas multiple people use and you connect with others in your community. I do have different experiences based on transportation and some are better than others.

    Buildings Upgrade My Windows
How does improving your home's (or office's) energy efficiency help you better live out your values?

Becoming more energy efficient in the home just has better impacts in the long run. When fixing windows in the house this can have many impacts. It can stop the house from being worn down too soon and needing more repairs, it saves more energy and maybe even money because you may not have to replace the windows again or at least not for a longer period of time and it can just overall make your living environment better for yourself and those you live with
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Smaller Portions
While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?

Aside from helping the environment by saving food instead of causing more waste, having smaller portions is also a personal benefit. Smaller portions also leaves you with more food for later on instead of wasting food that could be eaten a different time as well as helping you remain healthy. Eating portions that are too big can cause issues with gaining weight or simply becoming unhealthy but having smaller portions can help control this!

Transportation Go for a Daily Walk
What have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?

I noticed on my daily walks, especially after eating a good sized  meal, that I feel a lot better and it feels good physically and even a little bit mentally to just get outside and take a walk everyday especially if the weather is nice! Walks would be more enjoyable if it wasn't so cold outside right now, they are better in the spring and summer or on warmer days. My neighborhood is pretty good for walks so I don't think I would change much regarding the infrastructure.
