Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportationHow does advocating for green vehicles in your community connect to your values? How might you be able to get others involved in advocating for the shift to fuel-efficient vehicles?
Kamlesh Mistry 9/28/2021 8:21 AMIn London/UK this is really apt, with the petrol shortage currently, drivers of electric cars are able to continue their day to day with no impact felt...I wouldn't be surprised if traffic to Electric car companies' websites has not shot up exponentially over the last week. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildingsWhy is taking action on climate change important to you? Why do you care?
Kamlesh Mistry 9/24/2021 9:13 AMWhile a lot of people think it is not going to effect them personally, we need to think about how it will effect the future generations (our kid's kids) and do what we can to help now. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportationHow can you ensure that your virtual meetings honor your values and your company's culture?
Kamlesh Mistry 9/21/2021 6:09 AMBy bringing your best self, being prepared, being presentable, on time and have your video on. -
Kamlesh Mistry 9/21/2021 1:39 AMHope everyone is still going strong and checking in daily to get those points for the team! :-) -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand SinksAre bamboo alternatives readily available in your community? If not, what are other sustainable alternatives?
Kamlesh Mistry 9/19/2021 11:53 AMThey are indeed...we have purchased a few bamboo items for our youngest child (plates and bowls). -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Building ResilienceHow could better walking infrastructure make your city both more enjoyable and more equitable?
Kamlesh Mistry 9/19/2021 12:22 AMIt allows people to explore more freely and take more in of a city when walking. You tend to remember more of the geograpghy of a city as when when you walk rather than use taxis, buses, trains. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONIndustryGood job on choosing recycled paper! How can you take your action a step further?
Kamlesh Mistry 9/17/2021 4:36 AMI have already taken this a step further over the last year and changed as many of my paper statements to online and email to help with less paper usage. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCoastal, Ocean, and Engineered SinksMany states and countries have advisories on eating fish. Find out what is advised for your region. Do you think your diet choices fall within these guidelines? What steps do you need to take to make sure that they do?
Kamlesh Mistry 9/16/2021 6:32 AMMy diet choices do currently follow the guidelines but I will continue to spread the word so that others are doing the same! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land UseProducing food that goes uneaten squanders many resources—seeds, water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labor, financial capital. Which of these kinds of waste most motivates you to change your behavior regarding food waste? Why?
Kamlesh Mistry 9/15/2021 12:09 PMThe amount of energy being used to produce what we eat and then wasting that, just seems wrong. I make an extra effort to not waste any food, including leftovers. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricityChanging lightbulbs is an excellent first step toward energy efficiency! What's next for you?
Kamlesh Mistry 9/15/2021 9:18 AMI am actively researching solar panels for my house as we do get a lot of sunlight on our house-
Kamlesh Mistry 9/16/2021 6:16 AM -
Lucinda Young 9/15/2021 11:15 PMI installed 9 solar panels 7 yrs ago to our roof, & 2 weeks ago added 10 panels since our electricity needs increased after getting EV & switching from gas appliances to electric. Feels great to have your electricity needs satisfied by the sun, with 0 emissions! The federal tax credit significantly reduced the cost. -
