Libby Moore 4/29/2020 5:16 AMThe weather has been so iffy this April, along with everything else. Definitely warming, though, and magnolias are finally starting to bloom. Lots of people have been working on their yards, and even if they haven't, things are blooming. -
Libby Moore 4/26/2020 4:22 PMToday was rainy and dismal and no matter how many flowers are blooming, it didn't seem like a good day for a walk. My carbon footprint is pretty low these days -- hardly any driving, and my apartment is well-insulated so I have the heat off most of the time, even on days like today. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?
Libby Moore 4/23/2020 3:26 PMWe eat more meat because we can -- but it's bad for our bodies and for the planet. I was raised with meat/potatoes/vegetable at almost every dinner, and it was the expectation. I'm happy eating less meat, although I'm not a strict vegetarian. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildings and Cities Go for a Daily WalkWhat have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?
Libby Moore 4/23/2020 3:24 PMThe neighborhood has a variety of houses, many with front porches, which makes it feel inviting and welcoming. There are shops close enough to walk to, and because it's spring, the flowers are glorious.
