Teaching young children in the inner-city of Pittsburgh, Pa. how to take pride in the natural world around them. We collect water in rain barrels to water the native gardens and vegetables. I teach the children how litter affects our soil and wildlife .We clean up the litter around our community. I work with the children creating clay pieces to build a mosaic mural that represents ourselves as good stewards to our environment. The mosaic mural will be placed in our community garden as a reminder to all, we are connected to the natural world every day and we must take care of it.
