  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Coastal, Ocean, and Engineered Sinks Learn about Biochar
Can biochar provide additional benefits besides sequestering carbon?

    Mateo Mora 1/23/2022 4:44 PM
Besides sequestering carbon, biochar can also be used to highly enrich soil which is useful towards the widespread planting of vegetation and trees.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Industry Find a Local Climate-Friendly Supermarket
How close is the nearest climate-friendly supermarket to your home? How could you encourage local supermarket to reduce or phase out their use of HFC refrigerants?

    Mateo Mora's avatar
    Mateo Mora 1/15/2022 4:11 PM
I found that the nearest climate-friendly supermarket to where I live is actually less than a mile away and is a Fred Meyer that I often shop at. Reducing the use of HFC refrigerants can start by taking inventory of the refrigerants one already has and by making plans to manage the amount of refrigerants used towards that of a lesser usage.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Industry Learn about the impact of old refrigerants
Why are old refrigerant gases so harmful to our environment?

    Mateo Mora's avatar
    Mateo Mora 1/15/2022 3:53 PM
Old refrigerant gasses are an extreme contributor to the high amount of CO2 released into the atmosphere, and are harmful due to their high potency and widespread use commercial and industrial settings.
