REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Learn More about Wave and Tidal EnergyWhat did you learn about wave and tidal energy? How do they compare to other energy sources?
Oliver Morris 12/09/2020 6:13 AMWave and Tidal energy generate electricity through tides and waves. There are some problems, like that this type of energy is underdeveloped and it is more expensive and harder to do. This type of energy, however, sequesters 1.38 gigatons of Co2, so it would be extremely beneficial to us and the environment if we work on it a little bit more.-

REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Sinks Learn More about SilvopastureHad you heard of the term "silvopasture" before now? After learning more about it, what do you think is the biggest advantage of silvopasture?
Oliver Morris 12/08/2020 10:01 AMNo, I had never heard of the term silvopasture until now. I think the biggest advantage is the financial benefit which is something that went kind of overlooked in both of these sources. I mean it is crazy how much money you are saving by just having them eat and graze and live in the forest instead of having to build something yourself and do a whole lot of other things. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Smaller PortionsWhile dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?
Oliver Morris 12/07/2020 11:27 AMYour own personal health is benefitted by eating less and healthier. Overeating is not good for you, but if you moderate and are very aware of how much you are eating, you can save money and help yourself out. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Watch a Video about Methane DigestersWhat does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?
Oliver Morris 12/04/2020 12:09 PMA sustainable community looks like a bunch of people that support and help each other and also have a green and efficient energy source that they can rely upon. We need to start helping each other and fixing problems and switching to better cleaner energy sources. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and Education Learn about the Need for Family PlanningWhat did you learn about the need for family planning? How do the needs of different people in different places compare to each other?
Oliver Morris 12/03/2020 10:18 AMFamily planning is extremely important, and not just for the people who plan their families, but for the rest of the world too to slow down overpopulation and keep us alive. Some people in lower-income places in the world are being exploited and used and can’t do much about it or don’t have the proper education or resources to have family planning. In other parts of the world, some people may have access but aren’t exactly sure what to do because of the culture around things like this. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Sinks Learn about Temperate ForestsAs you learn more about the scope and seriousness of the environmental challenges we face, what impact does that have on your thinking and actions? What are the parts that feel overwhelming? What parts help you feel hopeful?
Oliver Morris 12/02/2020 12:03 PMI will definitely be more conscious about the choices I make and how they affect the environment from now on a lot more. This means that I will probably start making better eco-friendly decisions in my everyday life too and reduce my negative impact on the planet. Feels good. The big decisions feel very overwhelming. Things that require me to do something every day worries me because it feels like making a new years resolution and we all know how those turn out. I just hope that I don’t fall out of the habit or whatever. The little things. The baby steps make me feel hopeful. Or when I actually do complete a challenge it gives me hope that I can do more and actually do this. -
