REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Building Resilience Support Local Food SystemsDependable fresh food, supporting local farmers and building resilient communities are just a few benefits of local food systems. Which of these (or other) advantages inspire you the most?
Savannah Murray 5/17/2022 9:18 AMI have visited an organic farm before and have seen the impact local farmers can make on the community. If they are supported, they will continue to grow and become more popular over time. If I choose to eat organic and share this with others, it may influence them to try it as well. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Choose LED BulbsChanging lightbulbs is an excellent first step toward energy efficiency! What's next for you?
Savannah Murray 5/17/2022 9:14 AMI use led light bulbs when possible. If I am buying lightbulbs I will buy LED but sometimes lightbulbs are automatically installed. Next would be to switch all lightbulbs to led to make the whole house more efficient. This would involve my roommates to switch over as well. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Support Organic Growing MethodsIt is often said that “you can’t feed the world with just organic food.” What is your response to that statement?
Savannah Murray 5/17/2022 9:12 AMThere are many places organic food is not offered and it can be more expensive so I do understand where they are coming from, but there are plenty of opportunities to go organic when possible and local organic farming is obtainable in most areas
