REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Smaller PortionsWhile dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?
Manika Niwas 8/24/2020 10:06 AMSome benefits for dishing out smaller portions are that it helps you not overeat. Sometimes when you dish out a lot of food and you are full maybe halfway through eating your food, you eat the rest so you don't waste the food even though you are full. When you dish out smaller portions it easier to stop when you are full. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Share Bioplastic Disposal TipsWhat concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.
Manika Niwas 8/16/2020 8:37 PMSomething that concerns me a lot is that we are killing a lot of animals due to harsh driving. For example, one time I was going for a run with my brother on a road near my house and while running we saw so many dead animals on the side of the road and a lot of them were only baby animals. There are even many animals on the side of the road on highways and places like that. And we could even reduce a lot of these deaths if people tried to be more aware of their surroundings and followed speed limits while driving especially near places where there might be a lot of animals -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Learn the Truth About Expiration DatesHow does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?
Manika Niwas 7/10/2020 1:57 PMIt lets you know when you should throw away food and when it is safe not to. Sometimes people might throw away food once they see that a certain date has passed even though it is still safe to eat that food.
