Spending more time outdoors enhances your sense of place and deepen your  knowledge and appreciation for your surroundings because it allows you to spend more time seeing, smelling, touching, and just really interacting with your environment rather than just driving by or glancing out a window.

Mindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How does your eating experience differ when practicing mindfulness?

When practicing mindfulness while eating I feel more connected not only to the people around me, but I also find myself thinking more about the food I am eating such as where it comes from and how it is beneficial to my health.

I try to recycle when I can, but often it is hard especially in the dorms. This week I have really been making a point to recycle whenever I can and also encouraging friends to do so.

I went to South Carolina with my friends and we took a long walk on the beach, which felt so nice and allowed us to connect with nature.

Lately I have been really limiting my meat intake during meals, and this week I have been eating tofu as my protein. It has actually been a lot easier than I expected to not eat meat, and I am enjoying these new food combinations. My favorite meal today was stir fry with tofu!
