Danielle Perry 4/12/2020 1:32 PMThe term "drawdown" is relatively new to me as I learned of the term through this Drawdown Ecochallenge. I was glad to learn of easy ways to participate in drawdown and lower my carbon footprint, and prevent excess greenhouse gas release. As I learn more about drawdown and participate in the Drawdown Ecochallenge, I see myself implementing better habitats such as eating smaller portions to decrease the amount of food waste. I also make a conscious effort to eat at least one meatless meal a day. These actions will not only have a positive impact on my health, but is a manageable way to aid in the global mission to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It is so important to spread this message to show people that we can help slow down climate change through simple and tangible every day actions. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransport Explore Other Transportation SolutionsWhat did you find out? What is the most interesting fact you learned?

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Keep Track of Wasted FoodAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Smaller PortionsWhile dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?
Danielle Perry 4/09/2020 11:37 AMThis method stops us from over eating, and so has a health benefit as well. It is also more cost-effective, and allows us to save money overall on food. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Learn More about SilvopastureHad you heard of the term "silvopasture" before now? After learning more about it, what do you think is the biggest advantage of silvopasture?
Danielle Perry 4/09/2020 11:36 AMI have not heard about "silvopasture" before. The biggest advantage is creating a better environment for these animals.
