REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Go for a Daily WalkWhat have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?
Sofia Pinto 10/05/2020 6:10 AMSo I have decided to start walking to work almost every day. The walk takes me about 20 minutes every morning. One days where it is terrible weather or I am not feeling well, I will take my car but I feel like walking to work everyday really helps me clear my head and help the environment with not taking my vehicle daily like I used to. I get to say hi to all my neighbours and be able to see the people who live around me (since I work in a apartment complex ridden neighbourhood). Once I walk I get to see the types of people who lives around and not just one the houses next door to my own. My neighbourhood has begun making the walking for pedestrians more enjoyable with larger sidewalks, new plants, flowers and trees all around! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Learn More about BiomassHad you ever heard of biomass technology before you took this challenge? What did you learn that surprised you? Share your new knowledge with your friends!
Sofia Pinto 9/25/2020 2:00 PMBefore choosing this challenge, I had never really heard of biomass technology. But since researching and reading about it, I learned that biomass technology uses organic matter that can come from animals, or plants and use the matter to transfer and make it into bioenergy and biofuels. It would be a great option to try and incorporate this into our daily lives to help the planet. I had no idea this was an option but it was cool to learn about it and all its good effects!
