Something that I can do in my daily life to slow down and appreciate the world is by educating myself more on what people are going through in their daily lives in other countries, how global warming and poverty are making people's lives harder, how corrupt governments aren't helping their people only themselves. Something I can do to appreciate the planet is starting to find more sustainable substitutes in my life so I can help the planet. I can concentrate on doing more "good" by doing projects and doing my goal with my family, when there are people around me trying to do the same goal, I feel like we don't compete to be 'the best,' we are trying to do more 'good.' Competing to be 'the best' impacts the environment because back then, people were using glass for milk and other products, but people wanted to find "the best" material, so they found plastic, it's faster to produce, cheaper, but there were bigger consequences. So competing to be "the best" might not always be the best thing for the plant.
