REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Sinks Learn about Temperate ForestsAs you learn more about the scope and seriousness of the environmental challenges we face, what impact does that have on your thinking and actions? What are the parts that feel overwhelming? What parts help you feel hopeful?
Finn Seifert 12/02/2020 7:32 AMIt has a really big impact on both my thinking and actions, I am more aware of the decisions I am making that could negatively effect the environment. The massive scale at which it is happening at is very overwhelming. What makes me feel hopeful is that people know what has to be done already we just have to do it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Sinks Research PeatlandsMuch of Indonesia's peatlands have been drained so they could be replaced with palm oil or pulp and paper plantations. How can you make choices that help to protect peatlands, even if you live far away from one?
Finn Seifert 12/02/2020 7:14 AMI can make choices like not buying palm oil, or garden soil with peat. -

Finn Seifert 11/20/2020 2:02 PMI had only heard of it a few times before this but never went into any depth. I was surprised at how much CO2 could be saved from going into the air if we switched to biomass energy.
