    Planting trees is one of the most hopeful things a person can do.  It connects the planter to the earth of the future and tells future people that we cared about them.

    We could use such savings to implement other climate-change solutions.  and to fund retraining for workers whose labor is obviated by these solutions.

    Waste less food.  Monitor waste disposal in waterways around me.  Become more aware of what I put into the water.

    I learned that there are many more ways than I had thought to reduce carbon in the atmosphere.  This helps me to move politically to make them known and used.
