I did not plant trees myself.  I contributed to he Arborday Foundation and paid to have trees planted in a national forest.  I could not backtrack or find a place to note this in the app.

How do you anticipate replacing your thermostats for smart ones will positively impact your life?

    Anita Thurmond 5/17/2022 10:47 AM
No.  I keep a highly irregular schedule, plus I have heard that smart thermostats may allow a power company to control the power to my house.  This is not a feasible solution for me.

Since I do it remotely by contributing to the Arbor Day Society, I feel good for having paid to plant trees in our forest fire ridden national forests.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Reduce Animal Products
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?

    Anita Thurmond's avatar
    Anita Thurmond 1/16/2022 6:12 PM
Meat can be addictive.  All that sat fat isn't good for the circulatory system and all that cow flatulence contributes to greenhouse gasses.
