Less reliance on fossil fuels and plastics, more plant-plased diet alternatives, better recycling programs, and safer bike lanes!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Buildings Learn about 'Green Gentrification'

'Green Gentrification' is very apparent in nyc these days. We need less luxury development and more housing policies that make sense. It is so unfair that poor and working class people end up getting pushed out of their neighborhoods once they are made 'nice.'
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land Sinks Forest-Friendly Foods 1
How is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?

I finally learned what that Rainforest Alliance frog label means that I've seen on coffee and cocoa packaging. Will only buy these products from now on!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Electricity Learn More about Wave and Tidal Energy
What did you learn about wave and tidal energy? How do they compare to other energy sources?

Seems like a great alternative, however the high cost leads me to not expect to see much progess made here in comparison to other energy sources..

I had no idea what methane digesters were until watching that video. It turns out I often run past the one in Brooklyn every week. I now know what it is!
