  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Electricity Learn More About Geothermal Energy
Geothermal energy is reliable, abundant, and efficient. Project Drawdown states that public investment will play a crucial role in its expansion. In what ways (i.e. with money, time, advocacy) can you invest in geothermal energy?

Geothermal power is generated through the piping of underground water and steam reservoirs to the surface in order to power turbines that produce electricity. It is a free heat source, and it is bountiful, and reliable. I can do more research and see what the US is doing to add geothermal power to our countries energy sources.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Smaller Portions
While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?

When eating breakfast and lunch I decided to only take a small portion and get a second round if I still felt hungry. I ate all my food and felt full without having excess food scraps. I also didn't feel too full or sick because I was mindful about how much I was actually consuming.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

I have to drive from my house to school everyday which is 20 miles away. my mom works very close to my school so we decided to drive together to cut down our carbon emissions. We have been saving a ton of gas by doing this as well.
