By knowing this you may save yourself from accidentally buying lets say milk that is nearly spoiled. By understanding this you may begin to take more time at selecting such items.

I once went hiking and in order to get to the top I hand to hike a mile up the woods and it was very difficult and at times I wanted to quit. I knew there was an amazing view at the top and I wanted to see it and once I made my way up to the view I felt accomplished and completed. The time in the nature was amazing because as others said the view was indeed amazing.

My girlfriend is very into nature and the outdoors and one of her big interests is gardening and having plants. Over the summer I was able to help her with her garden and see first hand how it works. I learned not only is it very beneficial for your mental health, you feel a sense of happiness once you begin seeing your work start to grow.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Building Resilience Plant Trees
How is planting trees good for your mental, physical, and spiritual health?

    D'Ante Zapanta's avatar
    D'Ante Zapanta 3/09/2021 9:34 AM
I think planting trees is good for you mental health because it is a time where you can relax your mind and take a break from the day and just be at peace. It is good for your physical health because you are outside getting fresh air and putting in the work and spiritually you can feel a positive vibe on bringing a tree to life.

    D'Ante Zapanta 3/08/2021 3:00 PM
Yes I learned so much, what I eat, how often I use the water sources or heat sources. It was a big eye opener to realize how all these little things can result into something so much more and I can improve my carbon footprint by improving in certain categories.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Health and Education Learn about the Need for Family Planning
What did you learn about the need for family planning? How do the needs of different people in different places compare to each other?

    D'Ante Zapanta's avatar
    D'Ante Zapanta 3/08/2021 2:55 PM
I learned that the need for family planning is important because without this people will struggle and without a good structure. People all across the world have different wants and needs so because of that we need have more people be educated throughout.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Reduce Animal Products
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?

    D'Ante Zapanta's avatar
    D'Ante Zapanta 3/08/2021 2:51 PM
I believe that richer countries eat more meat because I think it represents power and they want to show off their money. I think eating too much meat can negatively affect our bodies if we are having too much of it without the other nutrients needed to regenerate yourself.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Stay on the Ground
What was your process like for restructuring your trip? How can you avoid more air travel in the future?

So my friends and I were planning a trip to Alabama and we of course we initially thought to fly down but we decided by saving some money and not flying we can also help the environment by not burning so much fuel from using the planes.
