Its been hard to get outside recently because of the coronavirus pandemic but I have recently started to get exercise by scootering around town and finding cool new spots to do tricks. It has been really interesting because there are so many fewer people in our town that cruise down the sidewalk or play in the parks.

Green vehicles have the potential to enhance public health and reduce (or eliminate) exhaust emissions. What blockpost further reasons have you thought about moving to a more fuel-efficient car?

Women and Girls Research Barriers to Participation and Representation
What are some of the barriers that exist to women's equal participation and/or representation in your community?

Great question. I feel like the real question for MY community, is what are some of the barriers that exist to women of color's equal participation and/or representation....

And really, I think this stems to a community of people who have a fairly homogeneous set of life experiences. Great people, but there is a certain lack of awareness as to just how different life can be for others.

Love your insight Ana! You're the best - and I want you to know you help show me how to open my eyes and see new perspectives. Thank you for being such an awesome friend!

Transport Research and Consider Switching to a Hybrid or Electric Vehicle
Reducing (or eliminating) exhaust emissions and improving public health are two benefits of green vehicles. What other motivators inspire you to consider switching to a more fuel-efficient vehicle?

Ok. So what I would really like is a hydrogen car. No strip-mining for the lithium used in hybrid car batteries (which can't be reused at this point, so tons of batteries going into landfills), it uses an infinite resource, AND it only emits water vapor! There are a couple re-charging stations in CA already. WHEN WILL THIS GET TO OREGON!!???

I am personally so torn. Is it better to get a hybrid car (lower emission, but all the down points listed above), or is it better to get a diesel car and use biofuel most of the time, and gas sometimes? I really want to know!

Besides eliminating exhaust emissions and improving public health, I want a more fuel-efficient car because I do a lot of city-driving, and somehow I am always running out of gas at the worst time. If that could just happen less, that would be great!

Electricity Generation Watch a Video about Methane Digesters
What does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?

A sustainable community looks like people eating from their own gardens and sharing and trading
    with neighbors.

    Food Reduce Animal Products
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?

Eating less meat makes me feel lighter and
healthier and its better for the earth.

    Transport Improve a Bus Stop
How can you advocate for transportation systems which minimize environmental impact while also meeting human needs?

I can vote.  I can use public transportation.  I can continue to pick up trash at our neighborhood
Bus stop to make it clean and more appealing.
