Because there are so many „synonyms“ for palm oil and also so many products in our daily lives, that contain it, its quite difficult for me, to keep track of what I‘m eating. Once I‘ve adapted to my new diet, it will be much easier for me. Its all about learning.

What kinds of discussions did you have, or are you hoping to have with friends about climate change?

The main "discussion" was about traveling by plane. My friend normally travels by plane about 3-5 times a year, even for short trips, which, I think, is unnessessary. Many beautiful vacation areas are easily reachable by train or car. And also there are many wonderful destinations near your home.

How is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?

Currently I'm not in need of a diet, but by having a look at the things I might buy at the local super market, I can already make a difference. I read what kind of products are mainly responsible for deforestation, so I now I know, how to reduce my influence on the climate change.

How does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?

You should always rely on your natural instincts when it comes to food, which expiration date is reached. Most of the food is still edible, even weeks or months after their expiration dates, depending on the kind of product.

I enjoyed having a wlak in the park nearby. I walked in the late evening hours, so it was pretty quiet around me. So I was able to get rid of bad thoughts. i love walks in the dark, when nobody is around.

Regenerative agriculture increases biodiversity and dispenses with artificial fertilizers, which is very important for the recovery of carbon in the ground. Regenerative agriculture helps regaining nature's health and affects our climate positively.

I would save the money over many years and invest into a geothermal energy pump for my home. An investment for the future.
