I believe the most reliable source of energy for myself is my own.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Composting
Producing food that goes uneaten squanders many resources—seeds, water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labor, financial capital. Which of these kinds of waste most motivates you to change your behavior regarding food waste? Why?

I hate that my uneaten food could have gone to others.  Also don't want all that energy to go to waste.

Less reliance on fossil fuels and plastics, more plant-plased diet alternatives, better recycling programs, and safer bike lanes!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Buildings Learn about 'Green Gentrification'
Cities and towns need to plan for climate change. How can your city or town make its climate action plans equitable and socially just?

'Green Gentrification' is very apparent in nyc these days. We need less luxury development and more housing policies that make sense. It is so unfair that poor and working class people end up getting pushed out of their neighborhoods once they are made 'nice.'

Action Track: Healing & Renewal Go for a Daily Walk
What have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?

By going on daily walks, I've become more aware of my surroundings. Hearing the bird songs and getting to know my non-human neighbors has been lovely. One of my favorite things is walking through an area with lots of big trees. I wish there were no cars! The roads kill land and habitats, they are so loud and terrible for the environment.

As we close out April, I am realizing that I am either forgetting to do some of the things that I have pledged to do daily or my current goals are getting a bit stale. I am going to update some of my daily goals for the next month to get motiviated!
