Greeness has come to be equated with whiteness, driving out lower income residents from areas provided with large scale development in the form of green areas and climate change resilience. Policies prior to development need to be included in any plan that put the people first, include residents in the conversation, and provide for lower income housing within the area being developed (rather than displacing them out of the area through gentrification). I found these two sites interesting, one discusses work done on this in LA and the other highlights NYC: https://shelterforce.org/2020/09/08/green_gentrification/ AND https://wesleyan.maps.arcgis.com/apps/Cascade/index.html?appid=8c42302e9a1549f7952d74e9bd35c6bd
