    My Brother, my Dad, and I planted 750 native trees and shrubs at my brother’s farm last week.

    So many trees have died because of fires, hurricanes, and  development. Planting trees in memory of loved ones is a wonderful way to renew forests but also to memorialize family. The 5 trees will be grown and planted in Florida

    Enjoyed a 5K walk today in Cincinnati as part of the Flying Pig events.  I pretty much strolled it and really enjoyed the views.  I only quickened my pace when I saw a woman with a black dog up ahead.  Her dog was wearing a pink tutu.  There was no way I was going to let THAT cross the finish line before I did!  Tending a garden was the only...

    I volunteered at the Flying Pig Expo today.  I finished up there at about 4:30, ate my PB&J sandwich and thought, "Wow, how 'bout exploring my city down by the river?"  So I did.  I walked down to Mehring Way and found a nice, warm stone wall to sit on.  I was joined by a couple of curious lizards.  Maybe they smelled my container...

    I checked out Ellis Lake Wetlands recently. I had no idea it existed but it's in the county I live in! Beautiful area and I saw killdeer for the first time!

    It’s going well.  I’ve enjoyed walking in the woods, biking/walking to the woods to the Mailbox and learning about the cork forests.  Corkforests.org is an excellent website that clears up a lot of misinformation about cork. THERE IS NO SHORTAGE.  IN FACT, BUY CORKED WINE!  It helps the trees grow mor cork every 9 years and keeps the farmers...
