June 30 at 12:26 PMGreeness has come to be equated with whiteness, driving out lower income residents from areas provided with large scale development in the form of green areas and climate change resilience. Policies prior to development need to be included in any plan that put the people first, include residents in the conversation, and provide for lower...

June 29 at 7:15 PMI already shop at thrift stores for most of my clothing - didn't think about how that is sustainable shopping!

June 29 at 11:08 AMI am so glad to have done this action - I was not completely aware of what redlining was and how it led to segregation and cyclic feedbacks leading to poverty and disenfranchisement. Studies showed that areas that were redlined in the 30's went into decline and suffer from a multitude of environmental health problems including higher heat...

June 20 at 3:46 PMThat people are doing so many interesting things to reduce greenhouse gases. I also didn't know that there were all these tanks lying around

June 10 at 7:18 PMI learned that the soil is a living thing, so important not to till you garden, but to gently aerate and use lots of compost and mulch to keep your garden healthy. I have mulched around our garden plants and have not pulled vegetables (like lettuce) up by the roots - left the roots in the ground to nurture the microorganisms and bugs that give...

June 6 at 7:16 PMInequities are reduced when all have access to reliable energy. Reliable energy also leads to economic stability, which is good for everyone. Also, microgrids use renewable energy which means less fossil fuel is burned. I donated to Green Empowerment - based out of Oregon with a 100 out of 100 rating on Charity Navigator.

June 4 at 1:46 PMI love my daily walks even though they start on the busy Taylor Rd. Sharing the bike lane is sometimes challenging. Be nice to have space identified for both walkers and riders

May 31 at 1:57 PMThe most significant experiences in nature for me have been hiking to the top of something and looking out across the landscape. Definitely gives you focus. The other night we watched the starlink satellites stream in a long chain across the starry sky - I wonder how much more stuff we can put up in orbit over the earth?

May 31 at 1:53 PMOn our walks, I have been noticing the birds, flowers, and everybody's gardens. I enjoy just getting outside. Sidewalks would be a plus in the sections that we walk through town, but I am thankful to the people who allow us to walk through their wooded property so I get the feeling of being in the wild for short stretches.

May 23 at 8:38 PMThings have been crazy, so while I am thinking and working on actions, I don't always get to the computer to log things. I'm going to try to do more this week!
